Does it hurt?
Since the needles are very fine, acupuncture is not usually painful at all, rather, a deep relaxation and elevation of spirit normally accompanies treatment.
Relief of symptoms and improved sense of well-being in the days after treatment is often described. Babies, children, elderly people, very sick and weaker patients are all successfully treated and assisted, using special care in the selection points.
Is it safe?
Peter is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAC) and as such must observe a Code of Practice which lays down stringent standards of hygiene and sterilization of needles and other equipment. These procedures have been approved by the Department of Health and provide protection against the transmission of infectious diseases. |
